SDLP South Antrim MLA Thomas Burns joined members of the local Polish
community at a ceremony in Glenavy to commemorate six Second World War Polish airmen who died when a flight from Aldergrove
crashed.

The SDLP South Antrim branch's public speaking event in Crumlin Community Centre on Thursday
26th October 2006 was a great success.
Around 80 members of the public turned out to hear Nuala O'Loan, Police
Ombudsman for Northern Ireland, gave her inspiring personal talk entitled "My life, my work, my faith".

SDLP MLA Thomas Burns, along with Antrim
Borough Council officers, joined children, parents and teachers from Crumlin Primary, St. Joseph’s Primary
and Naoinra & Gaelscoil Ghleann Darach to pick up litter throughout the village on Tuesday 27th June 2006.



The public community consultation exercise on the need for expanded community facilities in the Crumlin
area held in the community centre on Wednesday 8th February 2006.
Over 50 members of the public turned up to have their say. The photographs show some of the working groups
that the public formed to discuss specific community issues.
