SDLP MLA BURNS: WELCOMES AER LINGUS DECISION TO HONOUR BOOKINGS
 

SDLP South Antrim MLA Thomas Burns has welcomed the announcement by Aer Lingus that it will honour all Trans Atlantic tickets purchased for £4 after an error on the company’s website.

Mr Burns stated:

“I was saddened to learn that Aer Lingus had originally declined to honour these particular bookings. It was clear that it was not the fault of the people who took the opportunity presented to them, and who may have spent time and money on arrangements dependent on the flights.

I am delighted that Aer Lingus has today decided to honour all the tickets purchased as a result of this error. It is an act of honesty and integrity that many would not expect of big business in this day and age. For that they are to be warmly congratulated.”
